SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

Programme and Booking

The Schools Programme is an essential part of the Young Readers Festival. Each year, we bring authors of international renown to schools to promote higher levels of literacy in Hong Kong and to create unique opportunities for students to meet with authors through talks and workshops. We strongly believe that literature is — and should be — a vital component in language education, and we wish to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and with different reading abilities in developing their interest for reading and the literary arts.

In 2017, we reached as many as 6,000 students from primary and secondary schools across various districts of Hong Kong. We will continue to engage more students with the Young Readers Festival to promote a love of reading and writing on campus.

Details of the 2018 Schools Programme will be available soon. Government and aided schools are eligible for our School Subsidy Scheme. Please contact Jacqueline Leung at [email protected] or 2877 9770 for more information.
